How Childish – The Winnipeg International Children’s Festival
Children find it funny to stick their fingers in their noses, and funnier still if they can get their finger into your nose. And they ride teeny bicycles. Clowns tend to be the same. They both give me the shivers – and for most of my life I’ve made an art out of avoiding them. Some might say it was fate, then, that Travel Manitoba suggested I check out Kidsfest 2010.

Rain can’t dampen Kidsfest’s success
IF there's one refrain you'll rarely hear from a kid, it's that the rain spoils all of the fun. That's why thousands of kids dragged their parents to The Forks for the Winnipeg International Children's Festival, even if was miserable and raining. The full tally isn't in, but about 22,500 people took in the four-day festival, said Kidsfest executive producer Neal Rempel.

Californian livin’ on the Etch
There's a sketchy character hanging around the Children's Festival this weekend. Lee Zimmerman, a.k.a. the Etch A Sketch Guy, bills himself as the world's fastest artist when it comes to twiddling the knobs on the classic baby-boomer toy to produce a remarkably impressive drawing.

KIDSFEST 2010 AT THE FORKS
The 28th Annual Winnipeg International Children’s Festival (Kidsfest 2010) is being held at the Forks now until June 13th. The festival has plenty of performers, fun filled activities, and amazing contests. Several activities include dress-a-pet, face painting, kite flying, and much more!

The Chairmen aim to dazzle audiences with patio furniture at annual Children’s Festival
JUST about everybody’s got a few in their yard or on their deck. Those white, stackable patio chairs made of plastic resin are cheap, but you wouldn't think they'd be the most stable props for a circus-style act.

Kidsfest Opening Ceremonies Tonight with Free Concert
The opening ceremonies for Kidsfest 2010 take place tonight at The Forks. To help launch the fanfare of the Winnipeg International Children’s Festival, a free one-hour performance will be held under the mainstage tent in the north Parks Canada field closest to the Esplanade Riel bridge.

Kidsfest snags Earth-friendly Treehouse TV music stars
Bobs and Lolo, a female singing duo whose videos air on Treehouse TV, will perform at the 2010 Winnipeg International Children's Festival, organizers are announcing today. The perky, Vancouver-based Bobs and Lolo are known for Earth-friendly songs, such as Recycle With Me and I Love Bugs!

Kidsfest announces starry lineup
Winnipeg Kidsfest 2010 released its headliners Wednesday at The Forks with the help of a children's choir as it's hoping to hit all the right notes with this year's lineup. Both The River East French Exposure Nursery School Kids and Alumni choir and French Canadian musician Jake Chénier were on hand at the announcement to perform.
